Algebra sounds scary. But honestly? It’s just math with secrets.
Yep. Think of it like a puzzle. Some of the numbers are missing... and we use letters like x to hold their spot until we figure them out.
🧩 Let’s say this:
x + 5 = 9
We’re saying: “What number plus 5 gives us 9?”Think about it...It’s 4, right? Boom 💥 So x = 4.
That’s algebra.
🍕 Use Real-Life Examples
Imagine you have some pizza slices (yum).You ate 3 slices and now you have 5 left.
How many slices did you start with?
We can write that like: x - 3 = 5
Now we’re solving for how many slices you had before you ate 3.Add 3 back to both sides: x = 8
Boom. You had 8 slices. Algebra is just pizza math 😎

Here’s what you really need to know to survive algebra:
✅ Combine like terms (put all the x’s together, all the numbers together)✅ Do the same thing to both sides of the equation✅ Your goal is to get x all by itself

Example 1: 2x = 10. The 2 is stuck to the x by multiplying. To undo it, divide both sides by 2. So x = 5.
Example 2: x/3 = 4. The x is being divided by 3. To undo it, multiply both sides by 3. So x = 12.
Example 3: 3x + 2 = 11. First, take away 2 from both sides. That gives 3x = 9. Then divide both sides by 3. So x = 3.
Always check your answer
Put your answer back into the problem. In Example 3, put in 3. We get 3 times 3 plus 2, which is 11. It works!
Now you try
x + 7 = 12. Answer: x = 5.
4x = 28. Answer: x = 7.
2x + 1 = 9. Answer: x = 4.
