The Game Plan 310 Students Used to Raise Their ACT Score

Want to see the game plan that 310 students have used to raise their ACT score? Some went from a 10 to an 18. Some went from a 19 to a 25. Your child can do the same.

Here are three ways you can help your child get there.

1. Build a detailed study plan

Start with your child's weakest area. That could be inequalities, solving equations, quadratic equations, or geometry. In my experience tutoring students, quadratics trip up more kids than almost anything else on the ACT. Find the weak spot first, then build the plan around it. This is the very first step, and skipping it makes everything else harder.

2. Commit to weekly practice tests

Have your child take one practice test every single week. If you have time, take two. This helps your child get used to how the questions are asked and what topics keep showing up. It also feeds right back into step one, since it shows you exactly what to study next. If quadratics are the weak spot, the practice test will keep proving it, week after week, until your child actually fixes it.

3. Stay consistent with steps one and two

Do this every week without skipping. The score will move. No question about it.
